On a regular basis Integra doesn’t drink. She doesn’t drink socially because she doesn’t socialize, and she doesn’t drink to relieve stress because she has cigars for that. As such, she wakes up after this party with a massive headache, gaps in her memory – and Alucard’s coat.
I like that first panel. It’s the most relaxed she’ll look for the rest of this storyline. Integra: … Integra (thinking): Uh-oh.
Integra (thinking): All right, Integra, think…what happened last night? The party…I danced with Alucard…and then heard that line…so we stopped…then I felt nervous so I had a glass of champagne…took it out to the terrace, had another glass…and then I think I had another one, and, and, I can’t remember… …and here I’ve woken up,… Continue reading The Morning After 2/14

Integra: Don’t get smart with me, Alucard. Now listen up, because I’m only going to say this once. I just woke up with a hangover, I got far too little sleep and have no memory of part of last night, and I am in a very, very foul mood. What. The. Hell. Happened?
Alucard: My knowledge of your evening starts when I came back from the gardens. You were on the terrace, alone — except for an empty bottle of champagne. You said hello as I walked up; your speech was very slurred. Then you stood up and somehow made it over to me without falling. …until you… Continue reading The Morning After 9/14
Alucard (narrating): I made the assumption that you would be happier in the long run if I took you home at that point, but… Alucard (flashback): Given the circumstances, it’s probably best if I just fly… Integra: Kish me, A’kad. Kish me…that’sh an order. An’ then we c’n go home.
