October 30, evening — a British country road.

– Gosh, isn’t this great? We’re actually in merrie olde England!

– Lovely old buildings…

– Driving on the wrong side…

– Like, fish and chips!

– Right!

– And all kinds of creepy old legends…

– Frankenstein’s monster — Mr. Hyde — Dracula!

– D-D-Dracula?

– It’s just a book, Scooby. Calm down.

The Halloween storyline is going to be a Hellsing/Scooby-Doo crossover? 😮

I’m not sure if this is going to be a gift from the heavens to nerds everywhere or a sign of the apocalypse.

Oh dear…I suppose this was inevitable. But wouldn’t that group be in their late thirties at the youngest by now?

I seem to remember an episode of the old Ghostbusters cartoon where they went to either England or Scotland and had to clear a castle of ghosts. They caught the wrong one and released an entire ghost army or something like that.

roh ro shaggy.

This also got me thinking, what’s a vampire’s metabolism like? They drink blood and I don’t think they go to the bathroom much, so it has to be digested some how. I ask just because I imagine Alucard pulling a Morbo if he bites Shaggy.

Alucard: They call them fingers but I have never seen them fing. OH there they go.

Oh, I vote in favor of so right yet so awesome.

Depends. The original Scooby-Doo ran decades ago, but the latest incarnation (I think it would be “What’s New, Scooby Doo?”) takes place Today. Ditto for the movies, as far as I know.

If you think Hellsing has confusing conflicting continuities, Scooby Doo has several dozen versions =P

If I had any one in mind that the Shineverse incorporates, it would be “A Pup Named Scooby Doo”. That was a wonderful, wonderful show. (Featuring the characters as kids, it fleshed out their backgrounds and personalities a bit more – particularly the otherwise generic Fred and Daphne.)
