Yumie: Okay, so you have a few flashy moves. Big deal!

Those look great in anime, but in real life you have to–

[STAB]

Timothy: –do that?

Yumie: It’s just a flesh wound…

Today’s strip is excellent! Heh, Yumie falling victim to Monty Python references. Yumie is also one to talk, “Those look great in anime,” despite the fact that is what she does too.

LMAO at todays strip way to go Timothy, though I think the perfect response to Yumi would have been to paraphrase the time from Zorro “YOu mean like put the pointy end into the other person..like so?”

Tommygunner70 on Thu Apr 10, 2008 9:49 pm

Oh boy… never exspected timothy to cause harm like that…

looks good, and funny too.

I guess Timothy isn’t the kind little puppy he apears to be, when then need is there, he can actualy bear his teeth ๐Ÿ˜€

Xuanwu on Thu Apr 10, 2008 10:28 pm

Now would be a good time for Princess Bride refs if Timothy knows any.

The action scenes are a tad stiff, perhaps you should try to draw a bit more movement into them?

For a very good guide on how to draw comic strips (especially with action), try the How to Draw Comics the Marvel way.
Even if it isn’t ‘Manga-style’, it is really useful. Try googling it ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s available on torrent if you aren’t someone who worries about that stuff *cough*

My goodness! Tim has grasped one of the fundamental concepts of fighting! He actually successfully attacked the opponent before talking!

BigKwell on Sat Apr 12, 2008 6:40 am

Well… the fact that Utena is the one pulling the strings, it doesn’t surprise me much.

But… but insult sword-fighting is so much more fun! You not only get to cut away at your opponents body, but at their self esteem, the concentration and focus needed for battle, and even at their very soul if your technique is advanced enough. To insult witty battle dialog so, why, I bet you fight like a dairy farmer!

๐Ÿ˜€ Another Monty Python and the Holy Grail quote. I suddenly now picture Pip sticking his head out of a window as the Iscariots yell up at him…

Pip: “Zis iz the mansion of my current employer, Sir Integra ‘ellsing!”
Enrico: “Go and tell her that we’ve been charged by God on a sacred crusade to destroy her heathen organization! If she will simply let herself be destroyed in a fight, then she may join the other heathens in Hell!”
Pip: “Well, I’ll tell ‘er, but she won’t be very keen. She’s already ‘ad one, you see?”
Enrico: “What?”
Timothy: “He says they’ve already had one!”
Enrico: “Are you sure she’s had one?”
Pip: “Oh yes, it was very bloody.” *whispers to other Wild Geese* “I told ’em we’ve already ‘ad one.”
Wild Geese: *snicker, giggle and smother laughter*
Enrico: “Well, can’t we come up and have a fight?”
Pip: “Of caurse not! You are Iscariot types!”
Timothy: “Well what are you then?”
Pip: “I’m a French mercenary! Why do you zink I have zis outRAGeous accent, you silly Catholic?”
Timothy: “What’re you doing here in England at Hellsing?”
Pip: “Mind your own buziness!”

I’m in love with the Monty Python quotes. ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m kinda sure Timmy wont go so far as to cut her arms off.

Abadon XXX on Fri Apr 11, 2008 1:16 pm

Hehe, Tim got Yumie monologing X3

SailorPtah on Fri Apr 11, 2008 2:34 pm

Abadon XXX on Fri Apr 11, 2008 10:40 pm

Do want o.o

Elin-darling on Fri Apr 11, 2008 3:32 pm

I can see that happening 0.o and it makes perfect sense…

I did like today’s punchline. Monthy Python FTW.

Reaver225 on Sat Apr 12, 2008 12:34 am

At least the dairy farmer is armed with milking equipment!

You fight like a cow.

Atticusblackwolf on Sat Apr 12, 2008 10:44 am

Is there going to be a killer rabbit turning up at some point? Or is that too much Monty Python? Is there such a thing as too much Monty Python? ๐Ÿ˜€

BigKwell on Sat Apr 12, 2008 11:31 am

Personally, I don’t think you can get TOO MUCH Monty Python. Well… just so it doesn’t get too silly.

Abadon XXX on Sat Apr 12, 2008 2:15 pm

*crosses his fingers* come on yumie with a holy handgrenade

Atticusblackwolf on Sat Apr 12, 2008 3:12 pm

LOL that’s too funny

Reeku on Sat Apr 12, 2008 4:33 pm

I would love for a killer rabbit to show up. (Nah, there is no such thing as too much Monty Python. c: )
