Let There Be Guns 13/48

Note from The Future: Yes, that’s Marcie and Peppermint Patty. Astute Peanuts fans may remember that, when they were kids, “Reichardt” was not Marcie’s last name.

Some of you may be wondering, “Hey, that looks kind of like an iPhone in Ann’s hand. But isn’t this 1999?”

What you have to realize is that not only did Annie have a working television in 1937, her TV had global filming abilities that rival modern military satellites. Her tech is simply Better Than Everyone Else’s.

Ann: Do not engage, Reichardt. Repeat: do not engage!

Marcie Reichardt: Too late, sir!

Integra: Can we get a physical description?

Reichardt: Male. At least six feet. Medium skin, white hair, long coat, hat. Favored weapon seems to be playing cards.

Integra: That’s nobody we know.

Ann: You can’t fight a paper user, Reichardt. Evacuate!

Reichardt: Sorry, sir — he’s got us pinned.

Ann: Steady, soldier. Backup is on the way.

And so, The Dandyman shows up. I’d comment more, but I’m about to be late for work. Bye! *Runs for door*

Alhambra is a card shark! We’re talking about a paper master! I still think it’s Maggie!

Kazokuhouou on Mon Apr 06, 2009 9:00 pm

….cards are paper. Except when they’re those plastic see through ones.

Brightamethyst on Mon Apr 06, 2009 10:06 pm

Ridley maybe?

IIRC there are only 6-7 known papermasters in the R.O.D. universe so unless it’s someone made up for this (or someone who’s not actually a R.O.D. papermaster) the choices are limited.

IT’S SONNY! O_O

I sense massive amounts of PWN and slaughter for tomorrows strip. Donnie is about the only character in ROD the TV that actually kills people. BLOODILY kills people. I want to see him fight Seras (who is using the flamethrower!). 👿

On a more serious note, what could Dokusensha want from Hellsing or Warbucks??? Except MAYBE the original version of Stoker’s Dracula, which is most likely back at the mansion in England. I’m confused…

The correct answer has been guessed – but that’s all I’ll say for now 😀

Atticusblackwolf on Tue Apr 07, 2009 2:23 am

I still have my money on Dandyman

FelinaofL2 on Tue Apr 07, 2009 4:30 am

I’m inclined to agree, partially because Alhambra might SEEM like a paper master due to his weapon choice (and because I know nothing about RoD). We’ll see, though.

BigKwell on Tue Apr 07, 2009 6:06 am

Okay, so from the description we now know it’s Alhambra. Still, is he acting under the Major’s orders… or is this just a bit of random violence on his part?

Kazokuhouou on Tue Apr 07, 2009 9:28 am

Is there really a difference? The Major is chaotic neutral at it’s finest-doesn’t care what happens as long as there’s a war.

Edit: Hey, wait a minute! Ain’t that Peppermint Patty and Marcie?

Mars on Tue Apr 07, 2009 11:40 am

Yep it’s the dandy man. White hair, long coat, uses paper-ish things. No doubt on that.

Brynnie-chan on Tue Apr 07, 2009 6:40 pm

MAAAARRRRCCCCCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEE!!! (wuggle)

And OMG I didn’t see Peppermint Patty at first! Hooray! the PEANUTS gang! Thanks, Erin! (hugs and internets for the artist!)

FelinaofL2 on Tue Apr 07, 2009 7:16 pm

O_O I totally didn’t see her as Marcie. (Darn my not getting the “sir” part!) I’m also used to Peppermint Patty being in green.

Edit: So, Marcie and Patty are married? Sweet deal.

Kazokuhouou on Tue Apr 07, 2009 8:45 pm

S’what I thought too, or as much as they can be in 1990’s Chicago (fails at gay marriage, or rather remembering where that’s legal).

I’m with Pip on this one, what better opportunity to test the weapons than with an invasion by a random(?) card/papermaster?

SailorPtah on Wed Apr 08, 2009 12:05 am

I was hoping someone would catch that!

Nowhere in the US in 1999, unfortunately. But Warbucks has always been ahead of its time.

(Iowa AND Vermont just legalized it in the past week. *dance*)
