…Not going to go into fangirl rage, not going to go into fangirl rage…
-keeps muttering to self while trying to meditate-
Just remember the Miracle Romance…

Yeah, that pairing is a BIIIIIIIIIIIG Pet Peeve of mine. Usagi + Anyone but Mamoru = </3

BAH. Manga Tux Boy is less annoying, so okay. But Anime Tux Boy…Yeah, screw that guy. It also prevents the pink haired mutie freak from being born, which is always a plus.

Ah, I think I see what Erin is doing: we pop out to the Hellmouth and by the time we get back to the action, the senshi have already dealt with the threat using their combined “Sailor Planet Attack,” “Starlight Fusion Tempest,” and “Ginzuishou.” That’s cool – it means I can use almost all of the SM material for guest strip fodder.

We’ll just assume StarFighter and Moon weren’t there at first because they popped out to have sexy make-outs. MUAH HA HA.

I honestly just don’t get the Mamoru hate. I absolutely adore him in the manga and the Princess Black Lady musical, and I do see your point about Anime!Mamoru.
Chibiusa is a meh point for me, I absolutely hated her first appearance and how whiny she was, but part of that probably stems from my absolute hatred for children. Black Lady is one of my favorite villains though, so I can’t completely hate on her.
Hey, and it also means she won’t have to draw a big fight scene! Always a bonus for the artist. If that is what she’s doing, that is.

Part of the reason I dislike that pairing is because I don’t really see why it’s so popular. Seiya has a duty to her Princess and wouldn’t be able to live with Usagi or see her often, and that is one heck of a long distance relationship. Plus, Mamoru and Usagi are quite literally DESTINED for each-other. When Endymion was killed, Serenity used his sword to commit suicide so they wouldn’t be separated. Their love quite literally becomes a weapon to fight evil, they create an Utopia together!
I can’t see anyone being happy that they split that kind of love apart.

I ship it mainly because it would make Seiya happy. Seiya x Kakyuu, Seiya x Michiru, and Seiya x Haruka are also fine with me, but he really seems to like Usagi the most. I prefer to see Usagi and Mamoru’s relationship as simply being the most likely outcome as opposed to guaranteed, subject to mutability through changes in the time stream. That’s what allowed Wiseman to create Galaxia in the manga and get her to kill Mamoru, thus erasing Chibiusa (they got better).

If the splitting up part bugs you, one way to think of it working out is as a “friends with benefits”/”my wife and I have an understanding” arrangement, where Mamoru is the main beau and Seiya stops in now and then when he’s in town. Usagi could totally pull that off.

Personally, I think a Kakyuu X Sailor Starlights thing would work best, from seeing how devoted they are to her. Usagi and Mamoru just mesh so well with eachother, IMO.

I could see a friends with benefits relationship working out if all parties were in agreement.
But all the Starlights are female in my book. I go by Takeuchi-sensei’s word that they were crossdressing like Haruka. šŸ˜‰

I watched the anime first and since that gave them significantly more characterization, that’s what I tend to go with. I thought the idea of them being “even more crossdressers” was a bit meh – having them switch genders was a neat idea and made sense since they were aliens.
