Catholics vs. Anglicans

Catholics vs. Anglicans published on 1 Comment on Catholics vs. Anglicans

Enrico: Hey, did you hear the news?

Integra: What news are you talking about?

Enrico: there are now more Catholics in the United Kingdom than there are members of the Church of England!

Integra: Is that all? Yes, I heard. It’s partly due to an influx of immigrants.

And part of it is that the church is changing some of the arbitrary, unfair, and backward policies that caused many people to convert in the first place. The Anglican faith is still a part of English culture, and this does not give you any new authority. It’s only a statistic. It doesn’t mean anything.

Enrico: Well, I just wanted to make sure you knew.

Integra: Mission accomplished. Go away now.

Later…

Integra: [SOB] There are more Catholics in the UK than Anglicans!

Walter: There, there, Sir Integra…have some tea…

It’s probably worse that Blair declared himself Catholic after leaving office; he would have done so earlier except did not wish to intefere with religion/state divides.

Poor Integra.

I wondered about that. I’m doing Hellsing/Gunsmith Cats shoujo-ai/yuri fiction right now, and I wonder how Sir Integra would handle such a situation.

With the events of Hellsing taking place in 1999, this recent news should not really bother Integra at all even though it is doing so.

But it’s still funny. And Walter knows that tea makes everything better. šŸ˜€

And a note to Maxwell- Integra’s duty is to protect 3 things from supernatural threats: God, Queen, and COUNTRY.

Translation: She’s right in that you don’t have any authority over the UK, because Hellsing protects ALL the UK. Even the Catholics. (Integra wins)

Enrico really is a tease toward integral.

Makes me remember a Nice Duthc figure of speech.

“meisjes plaagen is kusjes vraagen.”

Translations:

“Teasing Girls is asking for kisses.”

Though there is no real translation that makes it sound good, i am sure some of you might understand what i am getting at lol.

Hah. You hate it due to it’s addicting quality? But I bet you keep crawling back to it. . .

It was TV Tropes that gave me the link to Shine, actually. So, you have them to blame for my presence here.

Yes, TV Tropes continues to suck me in. It has much the same pull as Wikipedia.

I wonder if Yukariko (My-Hime nun) will appear, or if Nao and Miyu as nuns will show up. A Yumie vs. Miyu sword fight would be interesting.
