Captain!Major: Whether you’re a brother or whether you’re a mother, you’re stayin’ alive! Stayin’ alive! Feel the city breakin’ and everybody shakin’, and we’re stayin’ alive! Stayin’ alive! Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ aliiii-iii-iii-iiive…

[ding-dong!]

Captain!Major: …

Schrö: Heya, Cap! What have you been up to?

Captain: …

Rip: Now, Schroe, the Captain’s probably forgotten how to talk by this point.

An update, ladies and gents! A veritable update!

…Since none of you can see the pictures on the walls (on the May 31) at this resolution, I’ll tell you who they are: old-school comic book villains Captain Nazi and Baroness Paula Von Gunther.

The Captain listens to that?! 😮

I… I really had no idea.

Now I can’t help but wonder if he dances too.

Maybe he had nothing to do while being alone.

I’d expect the Major has various action figures locked in a cabinet somewhere that he likes to play with by himself, ala Dark Helmet. I also wonder where he stashes his anime and manga swag (after all, Hirano has said the Major and Doc are major otaku, or maybe he was just kidding).

by Frey on Sat Jun 02, 2007 5:38 pm

If the Major does stash such things, maybe the Captain was just checking them out while having the music on.

Also, Captain in Major’s body singing Bee Gees…Dude. With the Major’s seiyuu, I bet he probably could hit those high notes.

Erin, if you ever meet the Major’s English or Japanese voice actors, you should ask him to sing this. It would almost be as awesome as Piccolo’s VA doing the Cucumber song.

I wonder if the Major also has pictures of the Red Skull and Brockenman (ripped in half by Ramenman in Kinnikuman).

Are the Millennium members speaking through the voices of the bodies they are in or are they using their own original voices while speaking?

by RawSteelUT on Sat Jun 02, 2007 7:29 pm

Well your voices are made with your vocal chords, so I’d guess the former.

Song references that have appeared in Shine (besides the parody lyrics):

Hellsing: Walt Disney “Beauty and the Beast”
Iscariot: Baltimora “Tarzan Boy”
Millennium: Bee Gees “Stayin’ Alive”
