These are, of course, the heroes of the Jeeves stories by P. G. Wodehouse, which are basically what Jane Austen’s books would have been like if they had been written by Douglas Adams.

Some of the books are on Wikisource and Project Gutenberg. There’s also a manga adaptation of one of the stories, available on the downloads page.

Integra: What’s the second manuscript? Another vampire story the British Library confiscated?

Alucard: Looks like it. This one’s about fifty years more recent. *ahem*
